Hi guys, here are some pictures from Brunswick BJJ on Valentine's Day 2009. Coach Haz' school has been growing by leaps and bounds, and we are very excited for all BBJJ students and the amazing job they are doing.

This past week Prof. Bongiorno hosted Dante Rivera at South Jersey BJJ, and the whole event was a success!
We'll post pictures as soon as we have them, don't forget to hit our news page again a little bit later.
Eddie Fyvie Wins Once Again!

 Congratulations to our dear Eddie Fyvie, who has been training under the tutelage of RABJJ 1st Degree Black Belt,Prof. Chad Beatty (SPA City BJJ) in NY for the past decade.
Eddie has been on a tear lately and just dominated another fight, this time in Canada against a much larger Stephan Lamarche who weighted 179.0 lbs by fight time while Eddie weighted 157.0 lbs.
After a beautiful armbar, he once again didn't let the fight go past the 1st round.
Way to go Eddie, we are so proud of you! Can't wait to see you on the big shows!

Words can't really capture how spectacular the night was for everyone who was a part of Team Renzo Gracie this past weekend in Atlantic City. From the bleachers to the backstage area to the cage...everyone enjoying an amazing night of high level fights! Thank you to all of our students who grabbed their tickets to the sold out event in advance, and thank you also for bringing along your friends and families.
 From our school we had Roger Memodov, Jim Tomczuk and Bret Kohan.
Roger and Jim won their matches within 1 minute into the first round by submission and TKO.
 Bret fought for the Championship Belt and won in the first round by KO.
From Renzo's Academy we had our brother Rafael Sapo who also fought for the championship belt at 185 lbs and came out on top late in the 1st round by KO.
To make the night that much more special, our brothers from Matt Serra/Ray Longo Academy were there and sealed the night with 4 victories of their own, bringing the overall score to 8-0.
The event was extremely well organized and powerful, so congratulations to Louis Neglia for one of the best shows of his career and to his amazing staff (Noah, you too) who made this possible.

If you missed out on this show, the next one has already been scheduled for April 17th, and you don't want to miss that one:

our own Andrew Riddles comes back really hungry
and last but not least, Prof. Dante Rivera will be fighting a very tough Alexandre Moreno.
Get your tickets earlier this time around, guys. The ones who decided to wait a little bit ended up without any tickets at all.

Conditioning Class for Jiu Jitsu is Back! 02/28/2009 After considering many requests regarding the Conditioning classes, we have decided to bring it back to the schedule on Wednesdays from 6:15PM until 7:00PM. Conditioning class will be followed by 2 hours of fantastic BB training, so there you have it. We've been looking forward to this announcement for a while, as many students can't wait to have a chance to take their physical strenght and conditioning to a whole new level. Again, Conditioning Classes on Wednesdays: 6:15-7:00 PM.
Starting this Wednesday.

12 Black Belts - 100 Years of Knowledge

"During the past 10 years, RABJJ Academy has graduated solid Black Belts.
Many of these Black Belts are world class competitors, some even run their own successful schools.
The majority of them remaining diligent students of the Gentle Art and actively participating in our Black Belt Program at the RABJJ Academy.
Over the next 12 weeks we will have 12 RABJJ Professors who will teach classes to the Black Belt Program. Each adding their own personal twist to how they learned and continue to progress through their training.
Together they account for more than 100 years of training experience.
Guest Professors will teach class on Saturday mornings from 9-11. Don’t miss this opportunity. They will be teaching their favorite Jiu Jitsu techniques.
The course is free but you will need to enroll to participate. Look for any of our staff members in the office so you can secure your spot.
All students enrolled in the Black Belt Program qualify to take classes." Starting in the first week of March, get ready for this great experience.

"A very Special night at OCBJJ"
Last Friday, Professor Tom and many of his OCBJJ students and friends dedicated their time for an amazing seminar with an amazing cause. About 20 students with special needs that participate in out-patient programs at the Children's Specialized Hospital attended an outstanding self-defense seminar taught by Professor Tom and his students. To say the seminar was AMAZING is an understatement. Jiu-Jitsu truly is a martial art for everyone and Friday proved this. All of the students did a wonderful job and had such a fantastic time. We hope to be able to do a similar seminar like this in the future.     What a beautiful class, Prof. Tom! Congratulations! News from South Jersey BJJ. www.sjbjj.com 02/13/2009 Prof. Steve Bongiorno and crew will be hosting Prof. Dante Rivera for a Buddy Day Seminar at the end of the month.  The seminar will run for 2 hours and will cover some great Gi Jiu Jitsu techniques. It is also a great opportunity for every student to introduce Jiu Jitsu to their friends. Date: Wednesday, February 25th 2009 Time: 7:00 - 9:00 PM  In addition, we just got off the phone with Prof. B. and his lovely wife Danielle and they just let us know that they're expecting a new baby! Later that night he got to interact with many of his fans at Carolina Ale House's UFC Party. It was a real treat for everyone to watch the UFC with one of their favorite fighters.
